What did you do in the garden today?

I have baby cukes :)

And my peas are coming up

I'm dehydrating Asian pears and some apples today. First dehydrator is already going. I have to get out and get the spoiled pears and black walnuts off the ground. I wish I had a GIANT food processor to drop that stuff in to chop it up. Then I'd just throw it in the garden area and let it fertilize other stuff.

Picked a bunch of grapes from my great aunt's vineyard. Just concords so I can make grape jelly. They have a couple acres of grapes and many different varieties of juice, table, and wine grapes.

Mom wanted to know how grapes did in the food mill so we ran a bunch through. Green juicing I can get behind.

Mom froze the bags of juice so she can make some jam later.

We also ran a bunch of her grapette tomatoes through the food mill. That was the whole reason I brought the thing down. Had to see how well it could process them. Mom wants one now. It turned those tiny tomatoes into a seedless, skinless, soup base.

Aww! That is a special pickle for a special little girl and a lovely grandma doing it for her :)

After putting in all new stepper motors and LEDs in the dash of the veggie hauler (3 1/2 hour job) you don't fix these newer pickups with a wrench anymore, you fix them with a soldering iron :(. I picked some veggies to put in the back of the veggie hauler.
