A new journey into homesteading "pic heavy"

we have our first ever apples! the bugs or storms will likely get them, but we got em!

Squash and new potatoes! Fabulous harvest! Way to go!

we had mashed potatoes, sautéed squash and zucchini and venison steaks for dinner. fat and happy tonight!

we make alot of hot pepper jelly.

we so pulled the beets and radishes today. they arent rrally good to eat because its been so hot but they nake great pig feed.

the squash and zucchini are dead. vine borers finally got them. thats ok. well plant more. they make great pig feed too.

feed is getting so high we are trying to cut corners anyway we can

we harvested 8 rabbits and 6 chickens today. hopefully the fall garden does well because the spring garden is just about played out.

The garden / chicken coop. 40x80 with a gate in the middle. The chickens can run on the garden in the off season and i can shut the gate in the growing season

A friend brought us 6 rabbits a couple months ago and I got to see if I still remembered how to butcher a rabbit! LOL

Yeah almost everything in the garden is dead. Oh well more room for new plants!

I was a little bummed but I met a man today who had his leg ripped off by a car and he was trying to learn to walk on a prosthetic.

Pretty sure I'm gonna be just fine.
