well I lucked out today. We had a new feed store open today. They were running a feed bag exchange promo. Take an empty feed bag and get a free bag of feed. I took the kids with me. We got 5 bags of feed for free. And they had laying crumbles buy one get one free. So we left with 7 bags of feed for $9

Well good news on the chicken eating neighbor dog story. The neighbor has been keeping him home in the afternoons and we havent had any issues. The dog does visit alot but the kids love him. We have actually gotten to know each other a little better too. My kids go visit to let him know we are letting the chickens out. Hes taken a liking to the kids and gave my son an old mountain bike. Hes very happy about it. The guy is 80, had 9 kids, lost 2 and buried his wife. Hes been threw some stuff for sure. Good dude tho! Wish i had gotten to know him sooner

We have ALOT of basil and oregano left from last year. This year we planted dill and 2 basil plants because they were gifted to me. Dont really need much else. The wife has some mint, oregano, and rosemary planted in pots. Im thinking of transplanting the rosemary to the garden because its perennial and will help keep all the soil alive this winter.

Seems we planted less this year and have reeped more. Its been good. Got a freezer full of corn, a bin full of potatoes, 20 sum jars of carrots, a bucket full of garlic, a bushel of onions, and the regular green beans are just now starting to make. Okra should really be taking off by next month. Gardening is getting a little bit easier.
