A new journey into homesteading "pic heavy"

Someone did that to me once. I hatched out silkie eggs for him since I was hatching anyway. When they hatched out he said yeah, I don't want them. Ugh. I only hatch what I want now! (starting the incubator today in fact, around 35 eggs)

I am impressed with your hatching set up! You did good!

boy I can't catch a break in the garden. It was suppose to frost Friday night and not frost Saturday night. So I didn't bother covering anything up last night and we got a pretty heavy frost. Damn weather guessers! The green beans had just came up too.

Oh well. I'm gonna keep planting stuff. Hell or high water! We are gonne get a crop this year

Oh no, I hope it didn't do too much damage out there… I've learned to take the weather forecasts with a bag of salt and plan for anything. Because anything is possible this time of the year.

Doesn’t that just rip you a new one? I usually watch the pecan trees. They have LEAVES right now!! What the heck? They are never fooled.... I guess they are officially fooled now. It’s bleeping cold!

Isn't that crazy! I do the same thing.... wait on the pecan trees. Don't know what to do now. I started to go cover my 'mater plants last night, but really didn't think the cold weather would kill the plants. I'm mainly worried about blossom drop. Thought I'd be posting pics of tiny green tomatoes within the next day or so. Might not now...

Potatoes didn't make it. They may grow ne e foliage. They have done it before

:( That is a sorry sight… Hopefully they will regrow for you :fl I like your determination though! It's early in the season still, you'll get your crops :)
