Second day on IsoCort.
After last night, I know I have to mess around with how I take it and when.
And I must work on relearning how to go through my day.
I was still full of energy past midnight, and that is not at all ideal.
Its best to be asleep by 11pm, as that is when the adrenals repair themselves, and begin the process of raising cortisol to wake the body up in the morning.

I woke up too early to get up, so I swallowed my thyroid pill, then went back to sleep for a couple of hours.
Still had the shakes and fading away feeling for a couple of hours this morning, but at least they did not start until after breakfast, so that was an improvment.
So, it seems like my lowest cortisol period is at the wrong end of the day

As the day has progressed, I find myself actually itching to get stuff done.
I had cut back my weight training to nothing lately, as I could not manage it.
Now I will start back on it.
I need my body to understand it can go to sleep tonight

I updated the list.
You updated with more of my symptoms!!!!! :hu :gig
:hide :D
you did that on purpose! I looked at the additions and was like...what the crap?!?! Then I'm sitting here ROFL! that was just uncalled for BB :old

Seriously, most of my symptoms except for racing heart rate are gone now. No more panic attacks, no more hot flashes, etc. I still get a good hard thump in my chest about once a month or so, but NOT like it was. I'm thinking mine was stress. Things have been SO much better since DH is not on the road and here to help with the kids, and DD19 has moved out. I miss her sometimes, and love her dearly, but that child was constantly like nails on a chalkboard for me, as is younger DD13 now, but now there is just ONE of them and TWO of us  SOOO MUCH EASIER!! It is a blessing to have hubby home! When it was just me and the girls...I couldn't even fall asleep at night until around 3 or 4 a.m.! My body just wasn't functioning well AT ALL! Thanks for posting this though...I always wondered if I was dying...it sure felt like it when those panic attacks hit mid sleep deprivation and fighting off two teens :th

I get better every day!!

For those of you wanting to do some indepth reading on adrenal fatigue, go here http://www.mothering.com/community/forum/thread/1153174/the-adrenal-fatigue-thread
There is a link in the first post to the old thread.
Its well worth going back and reading the first few pages of it, to get a feel for what to look for, what to ask for and how to deal.
Alot of the woman in there, know how to read test results.

Most Drs will tell you that as long as you fall inside the average numbers for hormone testing, that you are perfectly healthy, and that its all in your head.

Guess what? NOT TRUE!

You are right about it being stress, but guess what? Its the adrenals that deal with the stress for us.

You know how many people are always looking for next and more exciting thrill?
All they are doing is taxing their adrenals, and there will come a point where they collapse.

Okay, I just saw all this....I'm still trying to fix my diet. I have gone GF but am still thinking of seeing an allergist to test and see if there are any more food allergies going on.

I'm not on any supplements at all but still feel better. I'm getting tired again though. I feel tired but can't seem to get to sleep some nights. Digestive tract is much better. I drink kombucha every day and the constipation is gone.

This is a big deal for autistics. Even at my calmest, I have that hyper sensitivity pushing my adrenaline.

I can feel very emotionally calm, but my senses are assaulted non stop. In fact, I am usually emotionally calm and logically calm. It doesn't really matter. LOL. My brain just keeps revving itself. While I'm meditating and floating away, the body is still going nuts from the sounds around me and feeling the wind and smelling all the other apartments...

*sighs*

Which is why I spend so much time and energy on a careful diet, meditating, playing mindfulness games, etc. It's also why it's hard to fault autistics for going on anti anxiety meds. I don't really HAVE anxiety anymore and I could probably still use 'em LOL.
