Ahh Winter. It sounds like spring in my house. I got 7 (now 6, waterer) new chicken chirpers going on in the dinning room. Started the incubator a little late in the year but wayyyy ahead of last years order that got set back twice. Now I don't have to wait until the end of summer for more eggs. They should be laying by May. Maybe should have started a month earlier. Also they would be more feathered by next weeks freezing temps.

Greetings. Vacation road trip almost completed. Spent a few hours at Wannabefree's place yesterday. Meeting BarredBuff today for lunch. Gonna miss the 70 degree Mississippi weather. Lol

BB is awesome. Had a great time.

Hit rain in Cincy, turned to the partially frozen stuff north of Columbus. Home safe and sound despite seeing a dozen bad wrecks and loosey goosey roadway

I needed to let the coals die down so I left the stove vents open,
Got up at 1am to stir them up and add a few logs,

if this is the inside of your house, I am EXTREMELY jealous as it looks like my dream home.

Morning all-- -4 deg F but feels like -25 deg F here this morning, gonna be cold doing chores. Next 3 days are going to be bad with actual temps in the negative teens but then next week is in the 20s. January is knocking on our door
