After battling with the hot water in the kitchen for two days it decided to thaw itself out at some point this afternoon with NO broken pipes.

If only all our winter niggles would resolve themselves like that!

We're supposed to get snow this weekend; it warmed up a little bit, 27F on the front porch at 9:43 Pacific Time.

Right now it's 26• here ( but feels much colder) and it's snowing .

It's about the same here. All of the sudden it looks like a snow globe out there!

It's 46F here this morning. Overcast, but not too bad otherwise.

My husband said it was -10 at the base of the mountain he works at last night. He didn't even check up on the mountain, he didn't want to know!

Holy Cannoli! That's just not ok, lol! How do people work outside in those temps? I would think you'd have to wear so many clothes that you wouldn't even be able to move!

If you wear good clothes, and good warm boots and keep moving it's not so bad. I mean... It isn't fun but manageable! He's used to it, he can handle colder temperatures than I can. Especially since my winter coveralls don't fit me this year

We got rain this morning and it's about 50 degrees. However I did see something that was funny. A low-rider dually Ford pickup truck drove up our road this morning.
