So, I get fresh goats milk from a dear friend....she gets eggs. I dont want the hassle of goats, she doesnt want the hassles of chickens. :idunno So, anyways...the other day, she was telling me about her Kefir grains. Now, I have been reading all I can on this subject, and I have to admit...I have been put off a bit, just thinking of "sour milk" So, she tells me all about her grains..and how she would gladly give me some, and teach me the proper way to keep them alive! LOL I guess I am on my way to better health...like it or not! :p
Now, does anyone know how to make Jelly Beans?? I mean...this is a staple in my house!! :gig

When you think kefir, rather than thinking sour milk, think cultured milk....like yogurt. Yogurt is to kefir what Clark Kent is to Superman, health benefit-wise.

Dont worry, were here for ya! ;) :p

When my dad used to take me to rural Mexico we would get goat's milk yogurt smoothies with raw unfiltered honey and bananas mixed in. OMG!!!! Were they good!

That was the last time I ever had goat's milk yogurt and I won't ever forget how yummy it was. It was that good.

Anyway, kefir tastes just like yogurt, so don't worry about a thing, it will be delicious, I'm sure. :) And it will be so much better for you than yogurt too, as free says.

Wow!!! :th That is awesome!!!!! I just gave a grain to DrakeMaiden and all I could think to say was "it is full of probiotics", then I drew a blank and blurted, "But free says it is the superman of yogurts!" Luckily, that was enough to convince her. :p I am so going to copy that info so I won't draw a blank next time.

Thank you!! :thumbsup

When my friend offered them to me, I told her I needed to do a little research. This is the web site, that convinced me to give it a try.
