livin' on the funny farm- SUCCESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

we will be calling them. hubby kept saying that the girls must have brought the mail in and lost it. i knew better.and i figured with it being cold it would go up but not more than double! they are crazy.

Ours generally doubles in the winter, especially since we run in and out to feed/check/water/bust ice/ etc.

they say they didnt get our $300.00 payment in october. umm, they cashed the check. so now i have to go to the bank and get proof that they check came threw. my guess is that someone was surprised when their elect bill had a $300.00 payment on it.

the good news is it is almost 50 here today. and raining. with the wet weather we have had, the water is back to normal. and there is water in the creek.

went down by the river the other day to see the eagles. wow, there are a lot of them this year. (we are a winter hunting ground for eagles- with our hydroelectric plant/dam the water never freezes here) and we counted 20+ eagles in 1 tree! plus every tree along the river had eagles in them. we counted over 150 in the trees alone and guess thet there were 100+ in the air fishing. and that isnt all of them there is another dam 40 miles north. plus the small rivers are seeing high #s of eagles also. it is funny how there are all these eagles and we only have 1 local breeding pair. and they just rebuilt their nest cause and amish guy cut down the tree that their old nest was in- boy was he in hot water for that!!!! i will have to see if i can get pics of the new nest- they built it along the highway!

i think we are going to rehome the st. bernard. i had some people ask if i could find them one. and dh is upset about the hair. scooby is doing GREAT with mom. he has learned to brace himself when she said "help me" and her stupid cat that used to trip her doesnt get in front of her anymore. scooby wont let it. he follows her around like a lost puppy. she lives in a small town and most of the places let him come in with her- even the grocery store. the post office keeps treats for him now. and the bank girls get upset if she goes threw the drive threw so she takes him in. we might be taking in a lab puppy. dont know much except that is a yellow girl. the downstairs apartment where my dd1 lives got it for their little girl KNOWING that they cant have pets! stupid people.

Wow, that's a lot of eagles!

Glad to hear Scooby is doing so well w/your mom. It's great that every place lets him in around there.

That is a LOT of eagles...glad we don't have that many here. My chickens would never come out!!

the neighbor up the road had one sitting on top of his chicken coop a couple years ago.

There were 2 of them perched in a tree near where some of the chickens on the farm run around. I was glad mine weren't down that way!

ok, just got done watching paranormal activity 4. me and dd#3 and #4 were scared and yelling and dh just sat there.

and just a note...they still dont listen to me when i am yelling at them.

I've never watched that type of movie for just that reason! Hope you weren't too scared to go to sleep!
