Me too - lots of seeds... too many if you ask my DH, lol! Just can't stop myself from getting a few new ones every year though.

A girl can never have too many seeds. My DIL says I need an intervention. I've had decent germination from tomato seeds that are 9 years old! This, with no special storage. I can't pass a rack of seeds without stopping to browse. Those 5 cent packets are SO PRETTY!!!!!! Then, there's the seeds I save: from my own garden, as well as some produce from the store.

Last year I planted all my seed stash. I have some saved seed from heirlooms, and left somethings to go to seed in the garden. But I'll be buying a lot this year anyway!

Yes, intervention! :D BUT -- yes, germination is still good after several years and I do have saves as you mention. Hey, I wanted a few pimento peppers but not a $3 packet. Bought a pepper at store, 40 cents...dried seeds. We will have something from that.

Couple years I couldn't get to plant. I'll need an acre or more to plant this stuff! Have the land just need to be able to get it done. I could grow 5 acres of pumpkins...lotta seed. Corn, tobacco, millet, wheat... then veggies for me and animals. I've only had the type of "collector" craze with fabrics when sewing.

OK...could sew 40 hrs a wk for 3 months and not use it all. :hide

Yeah -- first my horde, them add moms.....

Bumper sticker says: Whoever dies with the most fabric wins! :D

To be honest, I used to sew a LOT!! For several people and the kids dolls, too. Most fabrics were bought at discount. Except prom dress, wedding parties, etc. When I worked, needed a lot of suits & such. Remember years back that was the "dress code". Now, I'm thinking I have some really nice, heavy flannel I need to find...before winter hits hard.

"Back in the day", I used to make all of my clothes, and later, made most of the clothes for my kids. Now, I only sew once in a blue moon. Find it to be a pain to set up the machine for a project. My eyes, AND hands are not what they used to be.

I sewed for my kids also... You could whip up a few tops and shorts for toddlers for about a buck's worth of fabric back then!

I got a sewing machine for Christmas last year and I've never learned how to use it :( I want to though!

I used to turn a pair of jeans into shorts, and take the cut off legs and turn them into overalls for my son.
