    NH, it's not hard to learn how to sew. You should be an expert at it in no time. Start out with simple stuff, and move on from there. The thing that kills me is the price of patterns now. Downright insane!!!

    Patterns go on sale regularly. Watch for them. They are short sales, 1 - 3 days. One brand at a time will be marked down to $0.99 or $1.99. Thrift stores are excellent source also. Just stay away from the trendy patterns that are dated. :D

    I am very fond of the Folkwear line of patterns. They cost a bit more, but they have multiple sizes in each package, and the patterns are beautiful and classic. This is my husband's favorite- the Missouri Boatman's shirt (that's not him though, lol)
