This is what I did yesterday. It is grape jam (a first for me). This morning I got up and made two batches of strawberry preserves. I will be making either grape jelly or more grape jam. Truthfully I think grape jelly is less trouble after peeling all those grapes. I might go ahead and just grind them. Does anyone know if the peels are bitter after canning?

It looks wonderful! I've only ever made grape jam, so I can't answer you about the peels, I'm afraid.

Hi @waretrop :frow Haven't seen you in a bit. Hope all is well by you?

I think I have enough strawberry and grape jams to get us through but still hoping the blackberries, apples and peaches make. I also have been keeping an eye on the elderberries. Every time someone thinks they have the flu we have some elderberry syrup. So far no full blown flu. The first year in a long time and the first time we had elderberries for syrup. I still want to can some strawberries and more grape juice. I need freezer space.
