Today I have been canning more chicken and chicken broth (only pictures a few jars). I also canned some mixed Vegetables and sweet green peas (which are still in the canner).

What is in them?

Hi,
lnstead of pickle brine the liquid is made up of
tumeric, ginger, dry mustard powder, sugar,vineger, sure jell ( as a thickening angent) and the mixed with red bell pepper,onion and 14 cups of cucumbers cut into chunks.
The juice comes out thick and kind of sweet.
I had to order the sure jell online because the stores don't carry it. Now I just have to get my family to keep their hands off of them for a few weeks.

Not canning today. Today I am making raisins from some of my grapes with the dehydrator.

AND new baby chicks today - cornish rock broilers 28 of them!
