I started a big batch of bone/veggie broth. It will take me a few days to get enough cooked and ready for canning. I was down to 3 quarts.

As the wife did inventory, she was alarmed at the soup situation. Now on the list:
- Italian wedding soup
- more ham and bean
- French onion
- more chili (I am lobbying for white chicken chili)

We shall see

I printed off that inventory sheet yesterday. I'm about to go find it and tear that bugger up, lol! Maybe I'm better off not knowing.

21 pints of ground beef in the canner now, plenty left for round 2. Had bought 20 lbs this morning.

Bought 20 pounds of chicken breasts. Going to can enough chunks to fill out the canner with the remaining ground beef today.

The rest of the chicken will go into white chicken chili canning tomorrow. Got the ingredients to make French onion soup and the beans for ham and bean soup.

Cucumbers are coming on so I've got two qts of refrigerator pickles in the fridge. Not really canning - but they are in canning jars if that counts!

7 more pints of ground beef, 14 pints of chicken in the canner. Dishes and utensils in the dishwasher. Iced tea time

Popped open a jar of ground beef to make sloppy joe's. Canning in beef broth makes the flavor outstanding! This is definitely on the repeat list
