WHAT ARE YOU CANNING TODAY?

The soup-a-rama has begun. Beef bones roasted, in the slow cooker to render the bone broth. I also bought frozen chicken backs for round two. 6 pounds of stew meat bought. Frozen vegetables were on sale, so variations of beef or chicken soups are coming soon

6 pounds of ground round in meatloaf form in the freezer, 5 pounds browned up, now cooling, will be vacuum sealed in one pound packages.

I just put four cases of Costco mushrooms, 12 containers per case, on the Food Bank outdoor bench yesterday. I've dehydrated, freeze dried, but never canned. Did you use a Ball or other approved recipe for canning mushrooms?

Not sure where I got my recipe. Love my home canned mushrooms. So easy and convenient as I have posted here before!

I'm working thru some apples...not completely sure what they will end up as -- applesauce, apple butter, or ?? Something canned!! Just getting too ripe & need processing!

Chickens loving the scraps Saved some for goat treats. Have more, not over ripe, to make pie today/tomorrow. Pumpkin pies I'm making today.
