WHAT ARE YOU CANNING TODAY?

The main problem around here with peaches is that it always gets a warm spell early in the spring, sometimes long enough for the peaches to bloom - then it will hammer us with ice and we will lose the crop. :/

Hopefully today will be a jelly/jam day. Planning on Watermelon jelly, Black Raspberry jelly and Black Raspberry jam (from last years frozen ones).

It is also dump day here so we will see what I get done. :P

Yesterday I "canned" up 9 gallons of homemade laundry soap. :P

This morning I made 24 x 8 oz jars of strawberry preserves

A bushel of peaches are next

Hey, neighbor, did you get those peaches local? If so, where? thx. :)

Making strawberry/rhubarb jam. The strawberries are fresh and the rhubarb was left from last year. I also found some frozen bags of concord grapes hidden in the deep freeze. I am thinking of making a red wine jam since I also have some red wine frozen in ice cube trays (leftovers from a party...used some of it for stew).

Send them to my house? :D

Yu can can them as a pie filling, cherry salsa, dry them and use instead of raisins (I do that a lot), and hen you can send them to my house. Did I mention that already?
