We have some type of bird nesting in the roof overhang here and yesterday one of the young ones got a bit too adventurous and ended up in the backyard, where the rooks went after it. I rescued it and brought it in and send DS through the landing window out onto the roof to put it back in the nest. That done he looked at the window and asked me if he can't just jump down to the ground from the roof instead. Ehh… NO?!? lol

Mountain Sage
Took Aliza on a weekend to the mountains, participated in an invasive weed pull at the local nature center, then took her to my sister's farm to see all the animals. Had a GREAT time traveling with this little sweety and seeing her discover new things.

Currently practicing tracing letters on her tablet. Did a "quiz" and she knew 16 letters with no prompts. She wasn't really very focused though. The sun is shining for once, can't blame her!
Also wrote a card to my mom for mother's day so handwriting/letter ID practice.
Think we'll go outside and read on the bench in little bit here.

DS2 has been playing about scrubbing the deck while I've actually been scrubbing the deck. We watched birds and airplanes and walked to the garden to look at asparagus and onions.
DS10 has been trying hard to clean up after himself.
He is working on writing, Biology - cell structure chapter and coloring book, reading Idiot's Guide to Geometry, and Great Courses lectures on cognitive behavioral therapy. I sent him into the library alone and stayed outside to weed the library's flower garden.

Well we know what DN13 has been up to...standing her ground. She did do anout 2 hour and of cleaning also, and an hour or so of giggling with me and fussing about how unfair things are here. I just let her vent. Now she is hanging out with one of her friends, thankfully, after a fairly harsh reality check type "sorry but you're sucking at this mothering thing" session with my mother after the big round of crazy swept through.
