What did you do in the garden today?

I picked a pepper a yellow squash and three zucchinis! Might use Bay's idea and stuff one of 'em....it's pretty good size!

Hauled more wood chips in the wheel barrow and mulched. Still have a ways to go yet. Maybe this weekend...

I extracted some downed fencing from 4 foot tall grass then weed wacked the stuff down. Also filled some pots with soil in prep for planting

Not all men, because that weeding dynamic is reverse in my marriage. , but I was still thinking about the same thing.

Greenhouse seed starting flats arrived this evening. I planted 3 with yarrow - red, yellow, and bright pink. Those are TINY seeds! I hope they grow!

I might have an obsession with hollyhock? I bought a mega-pack of 5,000 seeds, and then 8 more seed packets, and found 3 more old packets of hollyhock seeds. I started some from seed last year and about half survived. They all came up when we thawed in February, but only half of those made it until spring. I've daydreamed about hollyhocks since I was a kid, and have apparently bought a lot of seed. I haven't had my own flower yet.

I planted hollyhock, garlic chive, lavender, and some random leftover things I don't remember. I don't have high expectations for any of it.

Picked the first strawberries from the garden this morning...gave them to Mom, she said they were sweet. It rained pretty steady all day long, so that's pretty much all I got done in the garden except watching the weeds growing in the rain...can't wait to get those eliminated once and for all.
