That does not sounds nice.... we have mostly humidity all summer. It is like cutting the air with a knife.

Humidity comes and goes here. Rarely gets above 90. Summers here are really lovely! (see I have to talk it up since you all know what that other season is like.. Lol!)

Nice! Our heat index has been ridiculous today. I've been out twice for just a few minutes at a time. First time I got caught in the rain and came in wet...second time I got caught in the humidity and came in wet (and stinky)!

I love living in the middle...the northern most southern state and the southern most northern state. 
We get to complain about the heat AND the cold! 
Naw, just funnin'. I don't often complain about the weather until it's July/Aug. and we get into high 90s with huge humidity some days, then I just kind of mutter to myself, but the rest of the year makes up for those few short months of high humidity.
I love where I live!!!
Now, where I used to live, over on the more mountainous part of the state, we didn't have much humidity or high summer temps at all, so it was even more lovely and more sweet livin'. Love the snows, love the autumn, love the spring and love most of the summer.

I did nothing in the garden except for yell and grab Cowboy for trying to pee on my green beans - yuck! I couldn't tell ya how many times I pick a green bean and eat it before it ever gets to the house. Won't be doing THAT anymore!

Heavy rains will wash it off
This thread is a real testament to so many weather issues we face and why some gardens work, others don't. Here we have a long season -- some years heat that is unbearable, some years hurricanes that wipe it out, some winters bad & others not.
The hoop covers can help many but, for various reasons. Yep, those 'maters won't set fruit in too much heat. It's a crap shoot where ever you live. Think how the farmers feel with a 100 acre crop failure (I exclude all those corporate farms!!). I like to think that I have more moderate temp extremes than so many others that I try to appreciate what I get. Not having had a garden for 2 yrs in a row now, I am kind of "starting over" with many things. Hey, gotta start somewhere.
Today I did get my red potatoes into feed bags to begin their growing (already sprouted from FREE potatoes that I didn't get to eat) and tomorrow I will do the whites (same deal, FREE ones).... so, whatever they produce is acceptable. I have never used bags before but, something new can work. Had hay/straw scattered in barn, plenty of dirt & free fertilizers, sure plenty of bags!! Gotta go for it. They are in my side yard, so not near garden area -- potatoe bug issues?
Then, to have something to pick soon, I planted some radish and some mesculin mix in one of these little tubs. The other I have put seeds to start squash, zuc, eggplant & cukes. Will transplant when up enough -- garden should be tilled by then -- got containers for $1. @ a Habitat store, put holes in bottom with drill. Should work nicely, about 5" deep, reusable. LOL nobody wanted them without tops.

Dusted the spuds with sweet lime to get rid of the flea beetles. Watered newly planted flowers....getting dry here and next week will be even dryer, with temps rising into the 90s later on.
The peas are right on the verge of being ripe enough to pick.
Saw a few zebra swallow tail butterflies today, as well as a few other types, but those were quite lovely to see. The flowers are just on the verge of mass flowering and the butterflies seem to sense it...quite a few gathering around.
