How much cold can peas take? I have some seeds from a few years ago I was considering sticking out there to see what they do.

Peas do pretty well in the cold....I'm not sure the lowest temp they can take but I know they can withstand a good frost.
Okay - it was bugging me so I looked it up, lol!
"Since peas are a cool weather crop, they can withstand some cold temperatures. The ideal temperature for growing peas is between 55 to 70 degrees F. However, the germinating seeds can withstand temperatures down to 28 degrees F, but seedlings and plants cannot tolerate cold temperatures down to 19 degrees F. and below."
That's a lot colder than I ever would have thought...

Got some much needed cleaning done in the berry patch, and finally, got some onion sets in the ground for green onions. The rain here has been unbelievable. That was the first drying out we have had in months. I hope I still have time to plant some potatoes.

I LOOKED at a box of seeds that are waiting. That count?
Like so many this year -- totally odd weather!!! On the bright side, 4 days ago my buck got himself over the fence into a garden area that's waiting for tilling, couldn't get back out. I moved his water & feeder there, told him to eat as much of the new growth as he could!! Yesterday, got him back to his side and now I have a board to replace -- damaged at his entry -- but, fewer things growing in there.
Rain coming tonight & tomorrow, needed. Will till area mid week, then add poo from coop clean out yesterday.....then plant SOMETHING next weekend. Feeling we won't have any more frosts now. 
Been a stressful Spring here....late kidding dates, so 2 or 3 due to kid out any day thru end of month. Then done with that. Garden late, late, late -- and I NEED to feed me and them this year. Got to butcher some roos!!! 3 hens broody, need to move them away from others who are "adding" eggs.
Wind has blow things "everywhere" and won't stop so I can retrieve AGAIN! Job has huge hours for me -- love the check but hate the time away from "my" work at home.
whine over!!FEM -- Congrats on the AWESOME plant that is making tiny tomatoes. That little thing is a true accomplishment this year.

Thanks! Would it be bragging to say I saw at least 3 more tomatoes on that bush? So far so good - and no bugs yet. I would imagine that with some heat (which we've had VERY little of) the bugs might come out....?FEM -- Congrats on the AWESOME plant that is making tiny tomatoes. That little thing is a true accomplishment this year.
