Went back out and found that the volunteer potato plants in the big pots had succumbed to the freeze the other night. Pulled 'em up and lo and behold - TATERS! I wasn't expecting much from 3 little plants but got close to a couple of pounds of some cute little fingerling type potatoes.

What she said! ^

you're both right and it felt good to get that item ticked off the TODO LIST.

tomorrow i hope to get the four buckets of ashes spread and dug in and that will be another item taken care of. my brother is coming over for lunch so i have to tell him the facts and get outside right away, but he'll understand... sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do. it'll give him and Mom a chance to talk about me. heehee! just kidding, but he knows i love him and we just saw him last weekend so it's not like we've been strangers recently...

No seed porn mags yet but, I'm chomping at the bit for plant starts. :idunno probably because I bought a bunch of the plant start trays at 85% off - couple months ago! I have oodles of seed and I just want a garden growing!. 26* and heavy frost says NO, not time but I'm already "done with winter"!! guess I think starts will make winter leave. 🥴 Wishful!!
