What did you eat from the garden today?

I leggy carrot and some swiss chard, which went into a stir fry. Waiting on those tomatoes...

I mixed the ones I just made with raspberry balsamic vinegar, sugar & a touch of cloves. Cooked them down to a thick consistency. Tasted good.

That really sounds good!

We had okra! And peppers...Dh had the peppers. I don't like food that bites back, lol!

We had chicken caesar salad last night with lettuce we grew and chicken we raised!

Those look great. My butternut plants didnt come up.

I was late planting squash but have more time for them to grow still. The pie pumpkins are turning color and I'll be able to pick them soon as well as the hubbard type squash. The buttercups didn't do as well but there are some under all those leaves.

The carving pumpkins have almost doubled in size in the last week. I can't remember if it was a white or grey. They are still yellow. I can't remember the variety, just wanted something different and the chickens will eat them this winter.

Im still picking zucchini and cucumbers. Corn is almost ready. I ran a line about 4 feet out from the fence and stopped the deer from eating at those.

Does anyone know why are some of my butternut squash leaking? Are they no good to eat now?

I ALWAYS pick pumpkins too early lol 😂. They are alway ornamental though. That leak is kind of creepy.

I agree with creepy and getting creepy(er). I'm gonna cut it open, see what's going on and give it to the chickens.
