We had Chipolte/Honey salmon and fried rutabaga slices. I do love me some rutabaga! The flavor profile of a potato without all the carbs. Yum!

i tried to grow them one year and what i grew had no relation in flavor or texture to the ones i remember from eating the pastys up north. turnips i really do like but rarely eat them these days. in the future i will grow more of all of these, but not at the moment. :)

I think maybe the frost/freeze had a great impact on their flavor. These are sweet and oh so tasty. I'm planting turnips now since they don't take as long to mature.
