OCD it is then. Because all hamburger patties must be exactly 1/4 lb. But I think more than just a little OCD there.

Not a young cook, but I am guessing inexperienced or OCD since meat has to be cooked to an exact temp. not 1 degree over or under, and a recipe must be followed exactly. If this person does not like meatloaf with peppers and onions they will not use a recipe that calls for peppers and onions.

I met someone the other day who will only follow a recipe to the letter and cooks meals and meats using a thermometer. I was totally stunned to learn that if the recipe called for a 1 pound chuck roast they actually had the butcher cut them an exact 1 pound roast if nothing on the shelf was...

They make a special set of screw bits, I think its called a drill out or something. Go to your local hardware store and ask them. Also, you may be trying to get them out full drill power. Go Slow. And the vinegar idea is also a good one. Joel ----- Where are you? This is a good question...

I have been debating on putting my strawberries there. I have several still in the containers I purchased them in waiting to be planted somewhere and keep looking at all those empty cinderblock holes thinking; "should I?"

The weeds can't grow wher the slats are so there is much less weeding. The cinderblock holes are perfect for growing herbs and keeping them contained.

I'm not a casserole person so no recipe here. But next time you make up a casserole that you like, freeze some over night as a test. Just a spoonful or so. Bake it the next day to see how it holds up. I am going to bet it will be good.

If you have strawberries use them in this recipe instead of the strawberry jello. Its a different taste, not quite as strong of a strawberry flavor, but good all the same.

New for me this year is raised pallet beds. Its a test year so we will see how it goes.

At least you tried this year. I planted 2 pepper pants in a pot and had one hanging tomato plant. LOL It all died from neglect. Good thing I didn't plant a garden.
