Today was one of those where I left the house at 930 and only stopped back long enough to change clothes for work at 430.
I had my 3rd session of Physical therapy on my knee - go back to the ortho doc tomorrow to see if he wants to do an MRI. Today has been a 'normal" pain level for me - but the last 4 days or so have been ridiculous. Every night, every time I want to roll over, bend my leg or straighten it I woke up in pain.
I think my chickens appreciate the tarp in their house! It has been in the low 20s here with wind chill in the mid-low teens. I do need to put something at their north wall vent up top though, because it still blows in pretty good there. Of course, our temps are supposed to be in the mid-60s next week.

They also LOVE being turned out into the garden, and they are very easy to call back to the yard in the evenings.
I saw a pair of Cooper Hawks today, just a 1/4 mile or so up the road.
Question - If I decide to order some heirloom seeds and try my hand at that , and I know I will also be buyig the regular feedstore plants /seeds.. I need to plant them away from each other correct? As in - heirloom tomatoes in a different lot than the transplants from the feedstore?
Farrier comes tomorrow. I need to contact the foster coordinator for hay and feed for Buddy. I have bought his feed, dewormer and farrier services since the first of December, as well as feeding him my hay. I can't afford to buy more hay and I don't see the point in it if they get it donated and I can have it free.
