And dontcha know that's just how some truly looked many years back -- houses, too! Don't mean as a slur to anyone, I lived it! I have pictures. 😁 :love I'm old.
Not too many years back....this is my mother and our 2 room log cabin, freshly built in 1978. No water, no electricity, no nothin', with cardboard covering the floors and as underpinning. I lived in that little cabin for 8 yrs of my formative years. It still stands and I can see it from where we live now.

:lol::lol::lol: Wiping tears! I just saw a news clip of the President urging people to “get the shot”. Then he further expounded, “If you are fully vaccinated and are outdoors, not in a crowd of people, you don’t have to wear a mask.”

If I am outdoors and not in a crowd of people, common sense says why would I have a mask on anyway? Federal mask mandate? Not in TEXAS. Nice try Joe. Please note I did not add any describing adjectives after the name Joe, no matter how true.

The only way this school co-op would work is if PARENTS stepped up to the plate and took ownership of their kid's education
The newer parents, in the main stream, want little involvement with their kids.

I find it both fascinating and horrifying.

My kids have been in scouts for years... and as years march on, the younger parents do NOT want to help with the troop, camp outs, etc.

They just want a dump and run.

On another note:

For some insane reason, socialism is no longer a dirty word. People can now be all pro-socialist and think it just means that some invisible "1 percent" will pay for the rest of us to sit on our rears and get money. They have NO IDEA that money has to come from someplace.

And, on another note:

Alaska is really good with homeschooling. I get public school money to homeschool my kids. At the end they get a diploma that looks like they graduated from a regular public high school. And... I get to teach them any way I want. The state will not pay for religious based books, but they will pay for all of the rest. So printers, internet, computers, pens and paper, etc.

Alaska, like the rest of the country is going nuts with jumping onto the leftwing socialism bandwagon. But luckily it looks like the homeschooling will not be messed with.

A friend sent me this...
I do believe more and more people are starting to feel this way.

I never cared if you were “gay” or whatever acronym you chose to call yourself, until you started shoving it down my throat.

I never cared what color you were, until you started blaming me for your problems.

I never cared about your political affiliation, until you started to condemn me for mine.

I never cared where you were from in this great Republic, until you began condemning people based on where they were born and the history that makes them who they are.

I have never cared if you were well off or poor, because I’ve been both . . . until you started calling me names for working hard and bettering myself.

I’ve never cared if your beliefs are different than mine - until you said my beliefs are wrong.

I’ve never cared if you don’t like guns, until you tried to take my guns away.

Now . . . I care. I’ve given all the tolerance I have to give. This is no longer my problem. It’s your problem. You can still fix it. It’s not too late. But it will be. Soon.
I’m a very patient person at times. But I’m out of patience. There are literally tens of millions of people just like me that are sick of all your anti-American crap!

I’ve always cared about life, and all lives, but now you try to force the notion on me and my other fellow citizens and patriots that certain lives matter more than others. You protest, riot, attack, burn and loot. Your so-called “movement” has become a radical out-of-control bunch of thugs, criminals and anarchists who are doing harm to our Country.

We have had enough! America is the greatest country on Earth, and if you don’t like America then you can leave. We are done caring about your misguided “feelings”.

You don’t have the right to enjoy American freedoms if you are trying to take that right away from other Americans.

“We sleep soundly in our beds because rough men stand ready in the night to visit violence on those who would do us harm.”-Winston Churchill

I don’t want anyone to leave, it’s too hard to find like minded people. I’m out of step with the people I know, even my own family. So each and every one of you are precious to me and I value your presence here.

Keeping an eye on where cases are popping up around us. So far we have Seattle and Sacramento. If it gets closer, we plan on self-quarantine (since we are both retired, this is a viable option). Making sure we have what we need to hunker down for at least a month, maybe longer. I feel sorry for those in the medical field and police.

It’s not just crowded places as far as shopping for things you need. It’s also about disruption to supply lines. The Feed stores may not have Feed because there is no one to drive the truck, work at the factory or the Feed store. Apply that scenario to everything you use.
