Bwaa haa haa!

Maybe abi has a soul now (ala Angel from Buffy the Vampire Slayer :gig )
I've always had a soul. Else how could I live in the DARKNESS? sheesh.

LOL.

BBH I go through periods of no appetite too. Hormonal usually. But if your body is flushing toxins, could just be too busy to want to digest!

Good point. I know I should be eating a big breakfast...but the idea of food turned my stomach today.

Try again tomorrow. :P

Healthier to skip meals than to eat crap.

In my ever so humble opinion. :gig

Abi makes some nummy coconut flour cakes. I love the pancake recipe BBH posted. Coconut flour rocks!

I saw that cake on NK also. I got coconut flour and oil on my shopping list.

I often skip meals. I usually snack most days and really only have one meal, sometimes two.
I am back to paying close attention to what I eat. I try and have some beans cooked up for myself or some other alternative, for when SO cooks and I cannot eat it. Unfortunately FIL keeps bringing us foodstuff that I won't eat, but SO cannot bring himself to throw away. So he fixes it up. But I decided that I am going to be even stricter and just not eat the crap. So far I have managed pretty well, but I really have to stay on my toes.

I try to have left overs when I cook, but the stepson and his GF often eat them up, or fill their plates and then feed what they don't eat to the dog
The dog is on a special diet too....

BBH I am so glad to hear that Sam is doing so well. Isn't it great when your kid wants to play outside!

Day 10
Still feeling great!

Breakfast:
sausage scramble made with my homegrown sausage, duck eggs and bell peppers. Topped with cilantro and fresh pico de gallo and avocado.

Lunch:
dijon mustard egg salad with chopped onions and celery

Dinner plans:
homegrown country style bbq-d ribs
lots of homemade creamy coleslaw (cabbage and carrots, homemade mayo, grated onion, lemon juice, dry mustard, sea salt and pepper

Snack:
leftover bbq-d chicken breast, cut up for finger snacking

And you'll just keep feeling better, BBH ;)

3 years into my low carb/high fat diet and I'm feeling amazing. It's great.

I just found out my younger sister has high cholesterol bwahahaha. I haven't tested mine ever, but I'm already on a helpful diet for it. Because I know my family history: dementia, heart attack, strokes, high cholesterol... these all have insulin issues in common.

Why wait for a doctor to say I have an issue before I take care of it?

4 grandparents: 1 dead of heart attack at 50. 1 dead of heart attack at 40. 1 dead of dementia (started in 60s) and stroke at 90 (plenty old but the dementia started fairly young). 1 still alive (70?) but with cholesterol issues.

parents: dad has high cholesterol. mom already has dementia and is on alzheimer meds (at age 50).

sister (3-4 years younger than me) - high cholesterol.

Now, if we take into account my known health issues... I don't wanna know what it would look like if I went to a doctor at age 40 on a regular diet! "You've been dead five years. Luckily, the twinkies kept you animated as a corpse."

:gig
