Geez--would you quit calling yourself old already??? I thought you said you were 42--if that's old, then I'm clearly middle aged!

Comes from living with wisecracking boys that tell you to "date someone your own age.....God, maybe!"

Niiiiiiccceee... Wonder how sassy my already-sassy 6 year old will get?

More natural remedies:

1. Do something you enjoy every day.

2. Smile and laugh as much as you can, even if you need to resort to reading a joke book :)

3. Help somebody else.

4. Think for at least 1 min every day of all the things that are wonderful in your life.

:gig Hey, please don't call anyone in their forties and above-old. :barnie
My mama died in her early 50's and so did her sister. Most of my family- grandparents, my dad, uncles, aunts, cousins-they don't seem to live past 60's/70's. When you hit 40- suddenly you are living a little differently- if you haven't been doing so before, your body will make you or it'll make you feel old. :o

:lau Whatever my elders have told me as I was nearing 40, I didn't quite believe all that talk about going downhill - :fl - I still act as if I can do alot of what I used to do, but my body says ENOUGH-SLOW DOWN or it'll be some pain for me. :th

Amen, sister!! :D

I think when people spend too much time dwelling on their aches and pains it makes them worse. The pains seem to diminish when thinking of or doing something for someone else. How many of us had time for a headache when our kids were little? Oh, you might register the fact that you had one, but who actually could focus on that for more than a minute a day? Not me!

Lets think about the group more prone to Fibromyalgia symptoms....women. Statistically, stay at home wives with grown kids. Someone with more time on their hands and noone to focus it on.

And laughter really is the best medicine! Just think about the last time you had a real good belly laugh....its sooooo cleansing and leaves one feeling like a load has been lifted. Haven't had one of those for over a year!!
