We will be eating goat chops soon, as bucky needs to go....Dad has been planning and scheming (needs to be done out of the view of the two daycares ). We argued today about a detail...he wants to toss the entrails and such over the fence and into the woods...I want it all buried, deep. Not only do I not want to feed the coyotes, but I don't want to be walking the dogs and have one of them bring me the head of the goat who licks my neck and cheek every time I feed him....

And today I set a bacon grease bait for said coyotes, just under the new hot wire that we ran along the bottom of the fence....they won't know what hit them. But they will have an aversion to bacon!

Free - bury deep...dont advertise to the local varmints that the buffet is open. i'm not sure why folks throw stuff over the fence but i know that a lot of people do. or double bag and hope your garbage guy isnt like mine

DH is my garbage man! Trash pick-up here costs per month what a dump permit costs for a year, so it was a no-brainer. $90 per year vs $1080

Good grief....for trash pick up??? Man, they really know how to rip someone off. We have to take our own to the dump. We have so much recyclables that if we did have trash pick up they would never fit in those puny little blue boxes they give you. We barely have any trash anymore....we don't go to the dump unless the recycling bins (3 full sized outdoor trash cans) gets out of control.

OFG- how many do they think she's gonna have??? Any predictions? I love goat babies!

hi Lori! with my luck there will be either 57 babies goats... or one. actually i think Debbie has 2 and Little Nibbles has 3 (hopefully just two tho). or i'm completely wrong.

the whole thing makes me nervous. nothing yet to report... i keep making the dog check the goats but he doesnt understand why i'm afraid to look
