There is a possum in my kitchen!

I am quite sure that there is a recipe for possum in my copy of The Joy of Cooking.....

Believe it or not, I've eaten possum....its quite greasy and tastes nothing like chicken. :sick

Believe it or not I've heard that before. I think from my dad. I confess I have no desire to taste it!

We had a possum in our basement once.
It was a baby possum. My then DH found it and you should have heard the scream. He insisted that he coldn't go past the stairs to go to the back yard, because the vicious beast was on the stairs to the basement and was sure to attack him. He was/is a city boy.
I just got some milk and made a trail up the stairs and out the door. I checked a couple of hours later, no more possum on the basement stairs or in the basement) and the milk was gone too. DD loves this story, she was about 5 at the time.
The little critters are cute in an ugly sort of way.

Gotta go, Petey my kitty is demanding my attention.
