getting there, have today's ripest tomatoes in 3 pans, 20-24 quarts in 2 pans will get warmed up tonight (after i rest a bit) and then they will go into jars and then be processed to seal them up. should be done by midnight. the easiest part is last. :) the other pan (8-10 quarts) i'll do in the morning - i don't want to stay up too late tonight.

When putting the peach butter in pantry, saw I had made peach jam not far back. Had forgotten 😮 I eat soooo little jams or jellies, not really worth the time to make it for myself. Won't be next yr -- prob take 2-3 yrs to use what's in there. :idunno makes you realize where not to waste your time. Just like to do it🙄

Like analyzing your garden needs. Smaller??

I only make much jams because Mom wants certain things and PB&J is a low sodium, fairly healthy lunch for hubby

@Hinotori that's the nice thing about canning, choices. Be it flavor, add-ins or size. 🙂 And sometimes it helps with cost too. Your family has some defined food concerns that can be addressed that way as well as growing & producing.👍
