Tater Update: They are coming up great now. I was getting very impatient.

My romaine lettuce has wilted terribly though. I hope it perks back up.

Thanks BB! Tomorrow I start putting the chips in the big garden... That's going to take me f.o.r.e.v.e.r! But, that's ok. It gives me lots of exercise and helps the garden at the same time.

This will be the third year I've had wood chips all around my raised beds. It has made such a HUGE difference in the amount of weeds!

I swapped some silver beet seeds for some spring onion seedlings and planted them out today. It is supposed to rain soon so I hope that gives the seedling a bit of a boost.

Wife and I sowed a row each of sugar baby, honey dew and cantaloupe. Garden is still to wet but I ran the tiller through it anyways and my boots must have weighed 20 lbs each.

I filled the gaps in my lettuce bed this afternoon. It's supposed to storm later.

Don't be afraid to fertilize heavy. You know you gave them enough when the leaves get dark green almost blue looking.

My seeds should be in this week. Going to do a big patch this year. if they make, I'll put a sign out front $5.00 a dozen. Probably pick off the stalks as they sell.
