Ninny....our red sex links are fabulous layers but are not very big birds. I keep them a couple of years and then have them butchered for soup and broth

I use doTerra oils. pricey but pure.. Just coming around our area now. A few drops on the bottom of my feet seems to help (lavendar) for sleep. I also put a drop of lemon oil in my H2O..Supposedly good for my blood pressure .

My free peck of apples was canned with last years (leftover and canned) syrup from brandied apple rings. Also used leftover (this years) cowboy candy syrup for hot pickled brussel sprouts.

Pretty much all of the above....but add in gluten/ lactose free stuffing and vegetarian stuffing for our kids

#25 pounds of tomatoes.Had #100 pounds but canned the rest into sauces and juices. Going out of town and will do the later

10 and 1/2 quarts of spaghetti sauce, 5 qts and 4 pints of Bloody Mary mix and 10 pints of cowboy candy.

Tomato peels..Whirl in the processer and have tasty tomato flakes

What a year! Apples, plums, grapes, and pear blossoms all froze. It is dry here. Watering the veg. Getting smaller amounts but learning to can smaller amounts at a time. Did 4 quarts of tomatoes yesterday. I think it is the earliest yet. The trees are looking like fall with the leaves dropping...

Looks great Moolie. I save my bean canning for fall or winter. Today was all about blackberries. Freezer and cooked jam. Pie filling and 3 pints covered in vodka (hubby won the vodka somewhere) for the holidays. :drool

Picnic with friends ans family @ our house. Yard games...Kubb (a Viking lawn game) was a hit! Great day!
