B6 as a cure for depression?

I just read that taking vitamin B6 supplements can help to cure depression. Apparently, B6 helps to create serotonin, something depressed people have a problem with. Anyone have experience with this?

    Financial goals for 2010

What are your financial goals for 2010? My goals are to start and maintain a short term and long term savings account. I also would like to pay off all my medical bills. Finally, I want to live as frugally as possibly so that DH and I can attend college full time. Have a wonderful new year!

What did you do to save $ today?

Today I took a friend up on on her offer to take me out to lunch so I didn't have a to pay anything for a lovely meal and I got to spend time with her, which is rare these days. I also dug in couches, drawers, the sofa, and our truck to find my DH enough money to buy his smokes for the week...

What did you do to save $ today?

I made a lovely loaf of rye bread and some thyme biscuits, which were a little dry but I will continue to experiment with my biscuit recipe. Let's see, biscuits are about $1.99 and a loaf of rye bread is about $3.49 where I shop so I saved $5.48 by just doing it myself! I also have a sister...

What did you do to save $ today?

Today I have laid the groundwork to save/make money by deciding to rent out a room in my home. I placed an ad online and hopefully will get some interest. It would be fabulous to have it rented by the end of January. :)

What did you do to save $ today?

I saved money today by being patient and waiting for the library to reopen instead of running out and buying the book I wanted to read. It was worth the wait and it saved me $24.95!

    Homemade Christmas gifts

I wish I would have seen this thread before yesterday! lol I made gift baskets for just about everyone. Got the baskets at the thrift store, put chocolate chip cookies in a jar (using mason jars I got for free), but that was the end of my thriftiness. I had to buy all the ingredients for the...

    Making a little extra cash

What do you make and sell to earn a little extra money? I was thinking of sewing baby doll quilts with my leftover scrap fabric and selling them at our local crafters bazaar. Any other ideas?

    How do you conserve water?

Just a quick question on the topic of water conservation.... If I were to use my leftover dishwater to flush the toilet, would that save more water than just flushing it the normal way? I've been pouring my leftover dishwater down the toilet and it flushes itself. Am I conserving water or...

What did you do to save $ today?

In order to save money to buy our Suburban new tires, I did my second $30 grocery last week. We've spent $60 for two weeks of groceries and we haven't gone hungry once. We're eating a lot of beans, eggs, cheese, etc. I miss chicken, though. I'll admit forced vegetarianism isn't so bad but...

    Cheap Tires?

Well, my husband called around looking for 32s (what we have on our Burban right now) and finally someone told him that 33s are more common and therefore less expensive. He found a Sears in a town about an hour away from us that will sell us a full set of brand new 33s, installed and...

    When did you start homeschooling?

My husband and I would really like to try our hand at home schooling one day when we become parents (we're looking into adopting a sibling group) but we just didn't know if we should at least let them have a year of an actual school experience or just go straight for the home schooling. At what...

    Cheap Tires?

I hope I'm posting this in the right place. :) My husband has been looking for new tires for his Suburban for a while now. The cheapest place in town is Walmart but we refuse to shop Walmart so he's been calling around with no luck. The cheapest he found for the size tire we have is $650 for...
