I don't know if you have them there but Costco had big ol' bags of quinoa there this weekend. I was going to grab some but didn't have any idea what to do with it. I got a LOT to learn! :lol:

Oh, it is so yummy! When we were eating grains etc. I would serve it with butter and braggs' amino acids (soy sauce).

Breakfast:
nitrate free sliced herb roasted turkey
coconut curry veggies
water

Lunch:
Sam had a fried egg
I had an apple
water

Dinner:
taco salad
water

Took an extra long walk today and got a sheep pen built. Lotsa energy, still feeling great! My neighbor down the street asked me if I was losing weight! :D She said I looked great.

GOOD FOR YOU! It's such a confidence boost when others notice, huh?

As for the quinoa, do you just boil it? Does it taste like anything else I would know of? Meaning "tastes like chicken", etc?
:lol: Just don't want to get a 25 lb bag and discover that we don't like it.

Thanks!

It tastes like rice with a pop. :p I don't know how else to describe it. Use it in place of any rice dish. Samantha LOVES it!!

HAHA! No problem. Just let me know how much it costs to mail and I'll get you some $$$ (you take Monopoly money, right?).

What time is dinner? Sounds Delish! I'll bring the cole slaw!

Do you make your own BBQ sauce?

Here is a bbq sauce recipe that I use most often. (Tonight I cheated and just made a quicky bbq sauce with high fructose corn syrup-free ketchup, diced garlic and a bit of molasses.)

Orange BBQ Sauce

1 cup freshly pressed orange juice;
2 tbsp apple cider vinegar;
10 tbsp tomato paste;
4 tbsp chopped onion;
4 cloves garlic, minced;
tsp mustard powder;
tsp paprika;
Cooking fat;
Sea salt and freshly ground black pepper
to taste;

1 Heat a pot or saucepan over a medium heat and
cook the onion in some cooking fat until soft,
about 6 minutes.
2 Stir in the orange juice, apple cider vinegar, tomato
paste, garlic, mustard powder and paprika.
Season to taste with sea salt and freshly ground
black pepper.
3 Bring to a simmer and then let simmer, uncovered,
for about 20 minutes.
4 Use immediately to cook chicken or reserve in
the refrigerator.

Sounds pretty tastey. Will try it soon.

Thanks!
