Well.....this was a long, but fantastic day!! The neighbors oldest 2 kids came over to help me get it all set up. It was a mad dash to the end. LOL The pumpkin patch turned out cute I think, and the kids loved it!!
All of the kids put their own styles on the pumpkins...
Then it was time for the hay ride....everyone piled in..well, most everyone...and hubby took them all for a good long ride..
I didn't have time to decorate the wagon...but all of the kids were laughing and having a great time when they pulled back in the drive. All of them came to me and said how much fun it was....while they were gone, my sister and I was able to get dinner together and have it ready and waiting when they all got back. Everyone was hungry by then...LOL Well, you know, a hay ride brings out the appetite!
The kids all had a surprise for me as well....I had to "busy myself" so they could make this for me....
I now have a HUGH spider in my front yard! LOL They were all so proud of this spider.
The kids all played hard, in the jumpy house...playing tag....frisbee.....playing with the kittens, petting the sheep and pigs, and goats.
One of my nieces went with me to the barn at milking time, and I let her milk Suzie. She was so excited...I was not able to get pics, but she was smiling from ear to ear!!
After the sun started going down, hubby got the fire going, and it was time for marshmallows.
We all sat around talking and laughing..and eating marshmallows....the kids were exhausted!! Even with all the candy, cupcakes, cookies, juice...they were winding down. With smiles, and yawns...hugs and thank yous....everyone left...This definitely turned out to be a great day! We are planning to do this every year...a new tradition.
