Those look fantastic!
Thanks! They were presliced and relatively dirt free. Pinging has commenced.

You boil them for 5 minutes before putting in jars. I dumped and used fresh boiling water when packing them. The original boiling water had some grit in it.
1/4 tsp salt. 45 minutes @ 10lbs.

The store still has them on sale next week. I think I have enough for now, so I dunno

I haven't tried canning just plain mushrooms, but I used to can a pickled product called Hunter's Mushrooms which were delicious. I do both dehydrating and freeze drying mushrooms- each has their best use. Freeze dried makes awesome Bouef Bourginonne
Now you've got me thinking about it. If the Food Bank gives some out again this year, I may grab a flat and do some.

Oh....my.....goodness....

The meal plans changed, so I had the newly canned mushrooms with sautéed zucchini and yellow squash, just with salt and pepper.

Wife's feedback cooking them - Opening the jar, they don't have than canned fart/sulfur smell. They are NOT the grey limp memory of fresh mushrooms.

My feedback - the texture held up well, still a very meaty mouth feel. Lots of flavor in them.

10/10 would do again and definitely recommend
