Different colored carrots do have different flavors. Yellow ones are mild. Atomic Reds are a mild and very delightful red carrot excellent for snacking on right out of the ground. Purple Dragon are very sweet. Deep Purple don't have much flavor to them. The white carrots were not a favorite of mine to eat plain but were really good in ham & bean soup.
Tnanks. I think I will try thpse dragon purple ones one day. I love sweet, lol

ok, I need a common name for you all,lol ladies and gentlemen, how big the tomatoes should be so I can separate them? they are about a wkk give or take. oh, wait, corn and tomatoes on the 13th and peppers on the 17th. I have put some soil in another 72 cell plate and left it on the dinning table. Things have sprout out of it, like about 12 little seedlings, lol with no water o_O I already have seeds that I will plant and I have no clue of what they are, I was not expecting more, lol
I try and thin tomatoes to two per cell while they are still under the lights inside. I harden them off outside and if one dies that's ok. When I set them out in the garden if one dies that's ok. But if I'll come back after a couple of weeks and pull the smallest of the two. Sometimes both may die and I'll plant one I pulled in it's place. So I don't have any skips in the row. Best to do pulling and skip replacements in the evening a few days after a rain when the roots are well hydrated and the soil is soft.

@CC I tried one cell to divide it into 2 but they are so flimsy. They look like the will not hold.

I found them on the floor today. The wind was a bit too strong. I have no clue as to what to look for, so took pictures the best I could.

They all have leaves and the Plum one has some cute tiny flowers.

The top arrow is pointing to the graft union. It's a healed over bud graft that looks very healthy. Good choice on tree selection. When you plant the trees don't bury the graft union. Leave the graft union about an inch or two above soil level.

The second lower arrow is pointing to a plum root sucker. Snip just the sucker (green) growth off before planting. And if any more pop up after planting, snip them off at ground level. Sniping them off will provide more energy to growing the tree instead of roots putting energy into growing suckers.

Hope that helps.

I don't think that would be enough light. Can you put the in a south facing window?

I don't have any south facing window 😔 I put the 2 tays in bathroom with light on for the night. Will a fluorescent light work? There is one under a cabinet. I will be out tomorrow most of the day. I should have gotten the lights from Amazon, such an idiot. Thank you.
