Here you go a picture of the whole plant. I don't think it's toxic we've been eating last year's harvest. Any info would be helpful... It would be nice to identify the variety. Thanks 👍

still suspecting an ornamental. big, tall plant with purple top is likely an ornamental. i want to see the color of the flowering top. next time, when you dig one up, if it has any bulbs growing get a close up picture of that. how the plant forms new bulbs is different among the alliums and some of the decorative ones will make new bulbs right off the little roots so it looks like a string of pearls (they all smell like onions).

Do you think I can salvage these? It is head lettuce. The tag says at full sun. People say shadow. I have no clue, since I do not eat them at all. Please be patient with me,lol

Today I am supposed to receive a green house. It was 369 for ever but got message of price change and got it for 169. Hope it was a good deal. Debating where it will go. Shade, sun, close to garden, close to compost,?????

Not much. Had plans but hub is redoing the chicken run roof that it leaked in a few places,so he took it all out and making it better. So my job is sit outside watching for hawks.

Apparently a bee stung my RIR and one side of her face is swollen. Watching her toeke sure nothing else swells up. She seems fine so I will let nature work it's way like God intended. 👍

@FarmerJamie what is that plant on the first picture with huge leaves?

@flowerbug waiting on Amazon to deliver them. I have very sandy soil. But I have frames that I can put cardboard and newspapers and the the bag soil. How deep would it need?

Bunching onions are green onions you see wrapped in rubber bands at the grocery store. They grow to be about the size of your pinky to index finger.

Have look here

This is full of info. Thank you. However, I am in West michigan and winters can be brutal. Do I cover them with 6mil plastic?
