Well, I have some strawberry syrup and apple syrup (from jams or jellies that did not jell but make great syrup. The strawberry ones tend to get used in milk most often though.) and store bought syrup. I would rather buy real maple syrup but it is expensive.

I am not unsympathetic but reading this all I could think about was if you live by a "projects" and an apartment complex and "undesirables" are always cutting through your neighborhood, why in the world would you leave an ipod, money and those papers in your car? I live way out in the country...

I have had one published in Countryside before too. Mine was on heirloom vegetables.

We live in a very humid area here. I store all my dried veggies in canning jars right on the counter but the fruits I store in zip lock bags and put them in the frig. I just don't think you can get the fruits completely dry so I don't take any chances.

My sewing machine has just sat there since Wal-mart stopped selling fabric here. I would have to go to Augusta just to get fabric and I almost never go to Augusta because I really can't drive there myself.

Got a free whole deer shoulder from my sisters b-friend the other day. Cooked it tonight and it was SOOO good. Will make BBQ venison, soup and whatever else we can think of from the leftovers. Collected eggs from my chickens, some will be sold, others will be eaten.
