    Today I planted 10 strawberry plants,and my row of swiss chard!!! I bought the strawberry roots from Wal-Mart and the swiss chard seeds from Agway. The roots already started growing in the bag, so I needed to get them in the ground quick! I read the label, and it says they can handle frosts...

    Does anyone use a cold-frame? I made a very nice one, and was wondering... Do you start the seeds inside if it is too cold outside and then once a little bigger out in the cold frame? Could I start them in a cold frame during the summer? Thanks!

    I use my mom's kindle sometimes :lol: I LOVE reading off of it!!! Can you share books with family and friends/send them to another kindle?

    Nothin' really... BUT I bought an African Violet to kinda heal my illness!!! My dad sowed some peas, beans, radishes, beets, and carrots!!! I have okra and gourd seeds right now. I know the swiss chard needs to go in the ground outside, but what about the okra and gourds? Can I plant them...

    My main crops have been decided... The rest my dad will grow! Swiss Chard Bok Choy(If I can find any seeds!) Okra Ca't wait for the okra.... they're huge plants and I love their flowers :)

    Oh, I also just painted my cold frame a dark grayish color. Now i just need to get the area prepared for it and I AM READY FOR SPRING!!! I also put some chicken poo compost in the garden\, soon to be tilled in :)

    I'm so excited. I put some parsley seeds inside my basil pot and so far 5 seedlings are there!!! YAY!

    If worse comes to worse, you can get them from a local nursery :D This year I might try to sow some tomato seeds in my cold frame.... I'm gonna bring up this question again: Is there a color for a cold frame that encourages growth? If not, it will probably be gray/white, not sure :)

    We have a few hickories, I LOVE their shaggy bark and just what they look like :)
