We grow creecy greens. They're a cress, but a land cress rather than water cress. They're very good....slightly peppery, but not as strong as mustard or turmip greens.

Best wishes with your stove. We also use stove black (stove polish) on ours once per year. But it doesn't have a griddle serface like you described on yours.

We have a turn of the century cookstove. It heats the kitchen and adjacent bath, laundry and family rooms easily. We cook on it regularly in Winter. Cast iron cookware is the best for it. We have a couple cast iron griddles in different sizes that I also like to use. Sometimes we do cook on it...

Sam's club also has bulk yeast....2 (1 lb) packages for a little under $5.00 I keep a sourdough starter as well. And if you try some of the Artisan or No Knead bread recipes, most only call for 1/4 or 1/2 tsp yeast. They require a little planning though as most have a 12 - 18 hours rising time.

I haven't sewn seeds in egg shells, but I do transplant seedlings into them. The farmers market customers love it. ETA: Oopss! Forgot the OP! We have potatoes, onions, garlic, leaf lettuce, spinach, beets, arugula and kohlrabi seeds in the ground. I'll take some pics after they get sprouted...

I make yogurt, and also strain it for 'sour cream'. I use the whey for baking. I'm starting on cheeses this year.

We also sell at a nearby city farmers market and have lots a "green minded" customers. I can see your clothespin bag being a hit. Definitely round out a product line by adding the laundry powder and soap, and the gift/starter set. I know other soap makers who do well at local markets....both...

No such thing as extra jams here. We give some to family at Christmas. But mostly we sell it at farmers markets. And I mean a BUNCH of it. It's nothing for me to make 5 or 6 batches of a single flavor jam in one day....followed by more in other flavors later in the week. Every fruit that comes...

Somehow you will. I tried so many things, and thought nothing would ever work. Don't give up....eventually something will click for you.
